DGA Group Launches Social Impact Sector Offering
February 21, 2025 – DGA Group, an expert-led advisory firm, today announced the launch of an integrated Social Impact sector offering in response to the growing importance of mission-driven organizations and their impact on global business and policy. Jonathan Kaplan, a Partner based in Washington, D.C., will lead this effort, aligning and coordinating the firm’s work across foundations, universities, environmental organizations, non-profits, and impact investors.
The new offering will draw from the full suite of DGA Group’s capabilities – including communications advisory, government relations, public affairs, stakeholder engagement, business intelligence, commercial diplomacy, and geopolitical risk advisory – to support foundations, universities, environmental organizations, non-profits, and impact investors.
DGA Group has a long history of advising organizations at the forefront of social change. The firm’s expanded focus will enable clients to navigate complex challenges, scale their impact, and seize opportunities in a rapidly changing environment.
“Mission-driven organizations play a crucial role in addressing some of the world’s most pressing challenges, from sustainability and education to global health and economic inclusion,” said Mr. Kaplan. “By bringing together our global expertise and deep sector knowledge, we will help clients drive meaningful impact and advance their long-term objectives.”
Mr. Kaplan brings more than two decades of leadership experience across business, government, and the non-profit sector. For the last year, he has led DGA’s Education and Workforce practice, which will continue under his leadership. Before joining the firm, he served as CEO of Laureate Education’s Online division and as President of Walden University. During his government service, Mr. Kaplan was Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy and Chief of Staff of the National Economic Council under President Bill Clinton.
“Jon’s appointment reflects our commitment to advising organizations that are leading transformational change,” said Edward Reilly, CEO of DGA Group. “His leadership, combined with our firm’s multidisciplinary capabilities, positions us to deliver best-in-class advisory services in this space.”
As part of this initiative, Mr. Kaplan will collaborate with DGA’s experts to ensure seamless coordination and alignment across DGA Group’s global network. This effort will further strengthen the firm’s ability to deliver strategic insights and solutions at the intersection of policy, business, and social impact.
