Yves Brand is an Associate Partner at DGA Group and is based in Brussels.  He is a senior member of the EU Public Affairs’ Health & Life Sciences practice, informed by more than 15 years of experience in EU health policy, mainly for non-governmental (NGO) and patient organisations.

Mr. Brand provides strategic advice to clients, including patient organisations, companies and industry coalitions, helping them navigate the policy environment as well as design and execute advocacy strategies to promote their interests and shape policy outcomes. He has developed a particular expertise in the EU pharmaceutical legislation, intellectual property (IP) legislation, medicines shortages and mental health policies.

Prior to joining DGA in 2019, Mr. Brand worked for various European patients’ organisations such as the European Patients’ Forum (EPF), Mental Health Europe (MHE) and the European Multiple Sclerosis Platform (EMSP) as a public affairs professional where he successfully led numerous strategic and integrated advocacy campaigns. Furthermore, he has served as Treasurer and Vice-President for the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA) for six years.

A Dutch national, Mr. Brand has two B.A.s in social work and political science from Hogeschool Zuydand an M.A. in European studies from the University of Maastricht.
