Yukari Sekiguchi

Yukari Sekiguchi is an Associate Partner at DGA-Albright Stonebridge Group, a founding member of DGA Group, and is based in Washington, D.C. She specializes in business and investment strategies, government relations and geopolitical risk analysis across the East Asia and Pacific region, with a focus on Japan.

Ms. Sekiguchi brings extensive experience working in both the government and private sectors on U.S. relations with Japanese markets. Her expertise includes energy policy, government affairs, geopolitical risk analysis and strategic planning. She has worked extensively with clients in the technology, health and non-profit sectors.

Prior to joining DGA-ASG, Ms. Sekiguchi was a Senior Researcher at the Embassy of Japan in Washington, D.C., where she monitored U.S. legislation and assessed its impact on Japanese policies toward China, South Korea and North Korea. Her previous roles include Program Manager and Research Associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where she focused on nuclear non-proliferation, arms control and security policy. She also spent 13 years as a lead anchor for Fukushima Television Co. in Fukushima, Japan, significantly contributing to journalism and media.

Ms. Sekiguchi earned her M.A. in pacific international affairs, economics, and Japan from the University of California, San Diego’s School of International Relations and Pacific Studies, and her B.A. in English and American literature from Seikei University in Tokyo, Japan. She is a native Japanese speaker.
