Victoria Bright is a Senior Advisor at DGA-Albright Stonebridge Group, a founding member of DGA Group and is based in Ghana and the United Kingdom. She is Former legal advisor to President Kufuor of Ghana and was a Minister of State at the Office of the President of Ghana during his Administration.
Ms Bright draws on her extensive corporate expertise and leadership experience in the public and private sectors to advise clients on government affairs, risk management, investments and partnerships in Africa and other emerging economies.
Her extensive consulting experience includes advising governments and multinationals on their entry and/or expansion into Africa, regulatory risk compliance, management of political risk, ethics and ESG matters, as well as facilitating their partnerships with corporations particularly in emerging markets.
Her deep legal expertise includes advising corporates, boards and senior executives in a number of areas including financial services, risk, telecommunications, FinTech, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, PPP projects, energy (including renewables), infrastructure and technology sectors.
Ms Bright has led large scale projects in Africa and the United Kingdom. She has a track record of problem-solving and successfully leading teams on complex high value transactions involving a multiplicity of issues and parties.
Ms Bright is a dual qualified lawyer in England and Wales and Ghana. She graduated with distinction from Balliol College, University of Oxford, where she was also a Scholar.
Ms Bright was the first Black female partner at DLA Piper’s London office and one of the first in an international law firm in the UK. She is the first Ghanaian recipient of Oxford University’s 30% Club’s scholarship for women.
Ms Bright serves on a number of boards.
