Europe & Eurasia

Steve Brine is a Senior Advisor at DGA Group and is based in London. He brings more than two decades of experience at the intersection of health policy, parliamentary leadership, and public engagement, advising clients on how political decisions shape health and social policy in the United Kingdom and across Europe. He specializes in health system reform and public sector strategy, with a focus on integrating community-based care and improving service delivery across national health infrastructures.

Mr. Brine most recently served as Chair of the Health and Social Care Select Committee in the UK Parliament, where he championed reforms to mental health care, the affordability of treatment within the National Health Service, and the resilience of the UK health system following the pandemic. Previously, as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Public Health and Primary Care at the Department of Health, he led national initiatives on disease prevention, primary care reform, community health services, and cancer prevention and screening programs.

Elected to Parliament for Winchester and Chandler’s Ford for four consecutive terms, Mr. Brine also held roles as Parliamentary Private Secretary across multiple departments and Assistant Government Whip. His career reflects a deep commitment to strengthening public health systems and driving policy innovation across government, giving clients practical insight into how decisions are made in both Whitehall and Westminster.

Before entering politics, Mr. Brine held leadership positions in business and media, including serving as a director at a strategic marketing and communications agency and as a radio journalist with the BBC. This cross-sector experience informs his approach to stakeholder engagement, communications, and policy development.

Outside of work, Mr. Brine is an avid sports fan and enjoys live music. He studied history at Liverpool Hope University.
