Stephen Bramall
Stephen Bramall is a Senior Advisor at DGA Group and is based in London. A specialist in UK transport policy, he brings 50 years of experience working on, and advising on, all aspects of transport policy across all transport modes.
As a former civil servant in the Department for Transport from 1974 to 1990, Mr. Bramall advised ministers on a wide range of transport policy issues, helped take four transport bills through parliament and for two years was the Principal Private Secretary to two Ministers of State for Transport. Drawing on this expertise, he has over 35 years of experience advising the boards and senior management of major transport business and organisations. He has assisted them with their public affairs needs, from strategic counsel on their engagement with government and wider transport stakeholders to targeted programmes to help inform transport policy and legislation. He has also supported specific bids for public sector transport contracts, contributed to thought leadership programmes to promote policy ideas, and managed major crises around train and aviation accidents.
Mr. Bramall has considerable experience in regional and local government issues, having advised several former Passenger Transport Executives. Today, he advises Combined Authorities and has also worked with the devolved administrations.
