Sander Lurie is a Partner at DGA Group in the Government Relations practice and is based in Washington, D.C. He is a specialist in federal government affairs and has spent more than 35 years working in Washington, DC, on legislative and public policy issues in the U.S. Senate as a chief of staff, legislative director and committee staffer, as well as in the private sector.

Mr. Lurie joined DGA Group from another firm and previously served as chief of staff to former US Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), a former member of the Senate Democratic leadership and a former committee chairwoman, and to the late US Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ). He was also the deputy staff director on the Senate Budget Committee.

Mr. Lurie brings his Congressional, private sector experience and skills to help clients navigate through the complex Washington, D.C. public policy process.

His clients include large companies, startup companies, technology companies and non-profit organizations.

He has been named a “Top Lobbyist” several times by The Hill newspaper.

Mr. Lurie holds a Masters of Public Affairs from the University of Texas-Austin’s LBJ School of Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  He lives in Washington D.C. with his wife and daughter.  He enjoys cooking, biking and reading.
