Ryan Toohey is a Partner at DGA Group and is based in New York. He specializes in providing strategic counsel to companies and executives facing complex communications, government relations and regulatory challenges, frequently serving as the lead strategist on multidisciplinary campaigns.

Mr. Toohey leads DGA’s Complex Communications Advisory practice in the U.S., overseeing teams in New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. to ensure seamless client service and a strong team culture.

Prior to joining DGA Group, Mr. Toohey was Managing Director and Head of Crisis Communications at another global advisory firm. His more than 15 years of agency-based communications and public affairs work are informed by many ventures into the domestic and international political space where he has served as a campaign manager, communications strategist and pollster.

Mr. Toohey holds a bachelor’s in classics and government from the University of Buffalo (SUNY Buffalo). He also attended Columbia Law School.
