Before that, she designed and delivered resource mobilization, market entry and advocacy strategies for multilateral clients such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the United Nations and the Global Fund, developing briefing materials for high-level meetings with government leaders in the region and supporting long-term partnership strategies. During her time in London at The Risk Advisory Group, she conducted impact assessments and risk management for conflict stabilization projects in Lebanon and Syria on behalf of the British and Canadian governments and developed broader conflict intervention strategies to support economic development.

Earlier in her career, at the Ananta Aspen Centre in India, Ms. Kumar oversaw the West and South Asia desks, convening policymakers and diplomats in New Delhi to discuss and formulate advice on India’s relationships in the Gulf and South Asia, and leading dialogues on foreign and trade policy.

Outside her core work, Ms. Kumar has addressed an OECD ministerial meeting on combating illicit trade in the Sahel region and briefed high-level donors alongside the CEO of GiveIndia on the COVID-19 situation in India and how to most effectively advance progress.

Ms. Kumar holds a Master of Science in international relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she specialized in Middle East security and development and graduated with distinction.
