Philippe Tcheng

Dr. Philippe Tcheng is a Senior Advisor at DGA Group and is based in Paris. He brings decades of leadership at the intersection of healthcare, industry, and public affairs, with a career that combines scientific expertise and strategic vision for the pharmaceutical sector. 

Dr. Tcheng most recently served as Chairman and CEO of the Sanofi-Aventis Group in 2018, where he notably led the public affairs, market access, and business functions, guiding the company’s engagement with stakeholders across Europe and worldwide. He also served for more than 10 years on the board of Leem (Les Entreprises du Médicament), chairing the Scientific Affairs Committee and serving as Treasurer and Executive Committee member before being elected President of the board. In that capacity, he helped shape the organization’s priorities and strengthen its role as the voice of the pharmaceutical industry in France. 

In addition to his corporate leadership roles, Dr. Tcheng served as Co-Secretary of the Strategic Council for the Health Industries (CSIS) for 10 years, playing a central role in structuring dialogue between the French State and the pharmaceutical industry. His contributions helped establish frameworks for collaboration that continue to influence national health policy and industrial strategy. Across these roles, Dr. Tcheng has demonstrated a deep commitment to advancing medical science, fostering constructive public–private partnerships, and promoting sustainable growth in the health sector. 

Dr. Tcheng is a trained medical doctor and cardiology specialist. He is also a graduate of the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris Europe (ESCP Europe).
