Peter Cabus is a Senior Advisor at DGA Group and is based in Brussels. He specializes in underpinning, supporting, elaborating and disseminating policy choices and creative solutions for public and private actors in the field of spatial development, spatial policy, environmental policy, sustainable development, the construction shift and the redevelopment of abandoned and neglected sites.  

As a doctor in economic geography, Mr. Cabus also has experience in circular economy development, regional economic development and regional policy, including mergers of municipalities in urban and rural contexts. 

Mr. Cabus is an honorary secretary-general of the Flemish environment & spatial development department. He previously was chief of staff to the Flemish minister for spatial planning and worked as a policy advisor for the Social and Economic Council of Flanders (SERV). Until 2021, he was a university professor in the department of environmental sciences of KU Leuven, where he taught the Space, Society & Policy course. 

He holds an M.A. in geography and a Ph.D. in economic geography from KU Leuven.
