
Nitin Prasad
Nitin Prasad is a Commercial Diplomacy and South Asia Senior Advisor at DGA Group and is based in New Delhi, India.
Nitin is a dynamic business leader with extensive experience driving growth and transformation across sectors including semiconductors, chemicals, energy, and industrial decarbonization in the U.S., Singapore, and India. As Chairman of Shell Companies in India, Nitin has led business development and reshaped Shell’s Indian portfolio through strategic acquisitions and divestments, notably spearheading the company’s transition into a profitable, multi-billion-dollar low-carbon business.
At Shell, Nitin conceptualized and launched an innovative Energy and Carbon Management as a Service (ECMaaS) model targeting heavy processing industries, securing key partnerships across steel, cement, and aluminum sectors. He also initiated Shell India’s Open Innovation platforms, including Shell E4, India’s leading energy and mobility incubator, supporting numerous early-stage Climate Tech startups.
Nitin holds 10 patents and has won numerous awards and recognitions including Economic Times Most Promising Business Leaders of Asia, Fortune 40 under 40, Prince Micheal Road Safety Award, Business Times 25 hottest young executives, Electronic Design News Product Innovation of the Year. Nitin is recognized as a thought leader on sustainability and climate action. He is frequently invited to engage the relevant Ministries, members of parliament, IPCC, COPs and is the Co-Chair of ESG Action Council for the B20 in India.
Previously, as Managing Director for Shell Lubricants for the Indian subcontinent, he successfully turned around the business, significantly enhancing profitability. Nitin has held other leadership roles in Shell across verticals of strategy, marketing, project delivery and supply chain in geographies of APME, APACMEA, China, Southeast Asia and USA. Earlier in his career, at Altera Corp, Nitin developed new semiconductor product lines servicing diverse sectors including telecommunications, digital media and medical devices.
Nitin holds a B.S. in engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from INSEAD, France. He resides in New Delhi with his family and enjoys golf, tennis, sailing, skiing, and diving.
