Nigel Howard is a Senior Advisor at DGA Group and is based in London. He is a senior defense adviser and strategic communications practitioner with more than two decades of experience delivering strategy, policy and capability development across NATO and Europe. He has advised the U.K. Ministry of Defence, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, NATO bodies, European Union institutions and partner governments on complex geopolitical challenges, with a particular focus on Alliance engagement, intelligence-informed policy and information operations.

Mr. Howard works at the intersection of the defense industry and allied policy communities, advising major defense contractors and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) while contributing strategic insight to NATO strategy and policy initiatives. He works closely with Alliance stakeholders, national delegations and multinational capability programs, providing clients with a deep understanding of NATO’s evolving operational priorities, industrial cooperation frameworks and capability development agenda.

Mr. Howard was recently elected chair of the UK Industry NATO Forum (UKINF), which represents the U.K. defense sector within the U.K. Delegation to the NATO Industrial Advisory Group (NIAG). He also contributes to NATO’s strategy and policy discussions through his engagement with allied institutions and industry partners.

Mr. Howard is pursuing a doctorate at King’s College London, where his research examines how geopolitical dynamics shape the United Kingdom’s international intelligence partnerships.
