Mosharraf Zaidi
Mosharraf Zaidi is a Senior Advisor at DGA-Albright Stonebridge, a founding member of DGA Group, and is based in Islamabad. He draws on a long career in government and development to help clients navigate significant and quickly growing markets in Pakistan and across South Asia.
For five years, Mr. Zaidi served as CEO of the Alif Ailaan campaign, addressing Pakistan’s education crisis. Previously, he was the principal advisor to Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, where he focused on developing key international relationships and establishing the Foreign Ministry’s public diplomacy unit.
An expert in regional development and reform, Mr. Zaidi has contributed to the United Nations’ state-building initiatives in Afghanistan and led the European Union’s efforts on rule of law and justice in Pakistan. He has also advised on various governance and international aid programs for the Canadian, Danish and UK governments.
More recently, Mr. Zaidi founded Tabadlab, a public policy consulting firm in Islamabad that advises national and multinational organizations as well as government institutions. He regularly writes columns for Arab News and The News in Pakistan, and his work has been featured in Foreign Policy, The Indian Express and The New York Times. Additionally, he hosts the podcast “How to Pakistan” and frequently appears on television and radio programs.
Mr. Zaidi holds an MPA in policy analysis and nonprofit management from Baruch College and a B.S. in economics with honors from Lahore University of Management Sciences.
