Julián Ventura

 Ambassador Julián Ventura is a Senior Advisor at DGA-Albright Stonebridge Group, a founding member of DGA Group, and is based in Mexico City. He brings over 30 years of high-level government experience in negotiations, political analysis, crisis management and trade promotion.

Ambassador Ventura has held senior diplomatic roles in four Mexican administrations, most recently as Deputy Secretary of Foreign Relations, overseeing key relationships in Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East, and serving as Mexico’s lead negotiator in the G-20. He previously served as Ambassador to China, where he secured agreements for Mexican agro-food exports and established the first bilateral CEO Forum. His other posts include Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Deputy Chief of Mission in Washington, D.C., and senior roles at Mexico’s missions to Cuba, the UN, and the Organization of American States.

Ambassador Ventura also served in Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Relations as Under Secretary for North America, managing economic, immigration and trade agendas with the U.S. and Canada. As Director-General for Asia-Pacific Affairs, he participated in Mexico-Japan free trade negotiations and APEC Summits. 

Ambassador Ventura is a frequent commentator on international affairs in Mexican media and contributes op-eds to publications such as La Reforma and The Dallas Morning News.

Ambassador Ventura holds a B.A. in history from the University of British Columbia and is fluent in Spanish and English.
