Geert Vandenabeele is a Senior Advisor at DGA Group and is based in Brussels. 

As an independent consultant, Mr. Vandenabeele advises governments and organizations seeking to improve their operations. He guarantees strategy-oriented and standards-compliant work and organizational optimization in the public and association sector.  

He has experience in the internal service delivery, process-based expansion and leadership of public sector administrations. In doing so, he combines the lawful organization of work, the management of issues and resources in a rational, responsible and documented manner, with the pursuit of well-chosen collaborations with relevant partners. His trajectory approach is based on identifying and describing core processes, a risk-based approach and ambitious maturity improvements (target management). 

For the National Bank of Belgium, where he started as legal counsel, he coordinated in the Management Control Department the set-up and management of a centralized procurement and contract management including all aspects of public procurement procedures, and the creation and monitoring of proper agreements. As general manager in the GGC (Common Community Commission) in Brussels, he maintained the focus on compliance and regulatory affairs, especially during the Covid crisis in Belgium. 

Mr. Vandenabeele holds an M.A. in Law from KU Leuven as well as a D.E.A. in European and Community law from Montpellier university. He is a native Dutch speaker and has command over French, English, Italian, Spanish and German.
