Cyrille Mai Thanh is an Associate Partner at DGA Group and is based in Brussels. He has worked for the past eight years in EU public affairs and has developed a strong expertise on energy policy. He currently advises clients on renewable energy, grid flexibility, batteries, energy storage, nuclear, and fusion energy.

Mr. Mai Thanh is currently on secondment as EU Affairs Director for the Fusion Industry Association representing the private fusion sector to EU institutions and raising awareness around the potential of fusion energy for achieving Europe’s decarbonisation goals and improving energy security.

Mr. Mai Thanh gained valuable in-house experience working previously for Veolia and Solvay where he was directly involved in designing and implementing advocacy strategies and engaging with stakeholder. At Veolia, he successfully managed public policy campaigns advocating for water issues.

Mr. Mai Thanh is also the founder of the Brussels Sustainability Club, a network gathering more than 400 public affairs professionals from across sectors with a shared interest in sustainability policies.  

Mr. Mai Thanh studied European Studies at The Hague University and speaks English, French, and Spanish.
