Claus Sørensen is a Senior Advisor at DGA Group and is based in Brussels. 

Mr. Sørensen worked in several Commission cabinets covering agriculture, international trade, development and the fight against fraud. He then worked as Head of Unit in International affairs, trade and environment at DG Environment, before becoming the firm’s Director for International Affairs: Climate Change, Trade/WTO, Biodiversity, Environmental Acquis. He was also Director General for DG Communication and then DG Humanitarian Aid & Civil Protection, later becoming Senior Adviser to European Commission President Juncker.

Among other special assignments, Mr. Sørensen served as a member of the WHO Advisory Group on response to health emergencies and outbreaks.

Mr. Sørensen holds an M.A. in economic science and was a lecturer at the University of Copenhagen.
