DGA Promotes Senior Leaders in the Americas
February 13, 2025 – DGA Group, an expert-led advisory firm, today announced expanded roles for several leaders within its Americas team, strengthening its capabilities to support clients as they navigate complex global policy, reputational, and financial issues.
Adam Cubbage, currently Head of New York and Head of the U.S. Complex Communications Advisory (CCA) practice, has been appointed Head of DGA Americas. In this role, Mr. Cubbage will oversee business operations across the CCA, Government Relations, and Business Intelligence practices in the region. While each of these practices is led by its respective head and subject matter experts, Mr. Cubbage will provide operational support and coordination to enhance collaboration across teams. He will also work closely with senior leaders throughout the Americas to drive the firm’s strategic objectives. A former practicing attorney with a strong track record of scaling businesses and driving growth, Mr. Cubbage will support partners in expanding DGA’s advisory services across the region.
Ryan Toohey has been appointed Head of the CCA practice in the U.S. He will lead teams in New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., focused on ensuring seamless client service across the region, collaborating with DGA professionals globally, and enhancing DGA’s team and culture. As a partner in DGA’s New York office, Mr. Toohey specializes in providing strategic counsel to organizations with bet-the-company challenges, often at the nexus of complex communications, public affairs, and litigation. As part of this new role, he will join DGA Group’s Executive Committee.
Alvaro Vertiz, currently Head of DGA’s Mexico office, has been elevated to Head of DGA’s Latin America & the Caribbean team. The firm has advised clients across the region for three decades through DGA-Albright Stonebridge Group, and Mr. Vertiz will continue collaborating with James King, who leads that team. Mr. Vertiz, a former General Counsel and Chief Operations and Strategy Officer, is an accomplished business and legal professional who previously served as a member of the board and Chief Operating Officer at BlackRock Mexico.
