William Wallace

William Wallace is a public policy, public affairs and issue management specialist with particularly strong experience in technology, public sector procurement, regulatory reform, inward investment, infrastructure and manufacturing. He was involved in setting up the Efficiency and Reform Group, the precursor to the Infrastructure and Projects Authority when he was an adviser to the Conservative Party.

He has over a decade of experience providing policy and political advice, regulatory due diligence, legislative counsel, crisis guidance and public sector bid support programs to the C-Suite.

A wide range of blue chip clients have included 3M, Gatwick Airport, Hilton Worldwide, KFC, PepsiCo, Mars, TUI, Sodexo, Virgin Trains, Microsoft, BT, eBay, Lockheed Martin, Inmarsat, Fujitsu, Skype, CGI Group, J&J and National Grid on issues ranging from Brexit to Industrial Strategy and from corporate restructuring to tax, government contracts and product failure. He has also spent two years seconded with the Abu Dhabi Government on developing its international outreach, communications and stakeholder engagement programs at a time of a falling oil price, new austerity measures and a government adapting to the need to explain ever more clearly what they do and why they do it to their increasingly demanding stakeholders.

Mr. Wallace’s extensive background in politics includes having served as a telecommunications, procurement and constitutional issues political adviser to the Conservative Party in the UK for a number of now Cabinet Ministers and acting an advisor to the New Zealand National Party during their 2011 General Election campaign. Before entering public affairs, he was a business development adviser to City law firms.

He sits on the Charities Committee of the Merchant Taylors’ Company in the City. He graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in Social and Political Sciences where he remains active as a career mentor. He has also been a Trustee of an older people’s charity in Westminster and a Lambeth school governor. He lives in Buckinghamshire with his wife and two young children, catching Watford FC games when he can.
