Shannon Brushe

Shannon Brushe is a Partner at DGA Group and is based in the Washington, DC office. She specializes in working with clients to effectively engage with their key stakeholders, educate and build support on business-critical issues, navigate complex regulatory and policy environments, and deliver measurable social, economic and political impact.

Ms. Brushe most recently served as Director of National Stakeholder Strategy for Duke Energy, one of the largest electric utilities in the United States. She was responsible for developing strategies to support the company’s engagement with federal regulators and national organizations as it worked toward aggressive climate targets and technology solutions. She also drove enterprise-wide initiatives on emerging ESG issues at the center of a transitioning energy economy.

Prior to her tenure in the utility industry, Ms. Brushe spent a decade as an advisor to Fortune 100 companies at FTI Consulting, a global management consulting firm. Within FTI’s Strategic Communications practice, Ms. Brushe focused on issue advocacy, media relations and crisis management for highly-regulated industries. She also advised companies through major financial events, including on assignment in the Middle East. For three years, Ms. Brushe was part of FTI’s London office, where she advised global clients on cross-border public affairs and profile-raising campaigns.

Ms. Brushe has a BA in policy studies and advertising from Syracuse University, where she also played for the Division 1 women’s lacrosse team.
