Kieran O’Keeffe

Kieran O’Keeffe is a Partner and Co-Head of the Brussels office, where he works with a range of multinationals and trade associations, providing strategic advice on all aspects of European affairs. He has expertise across the technology sector including cybersecurity, privacy, AI, platforms policy and competition in digital markets.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. O’Keeffe was head of European affairs for the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), and opened the association’s first Brussels office in 2008. In this role, he also served as media spokesman for the organization, representing the BCC on television and on radio; he credits the experience of appearing on such unforgiving media outlets with helping him hone his communications skills and respond effectively to challenging questions.

Mr. O’Keeffe began his career as a researcher for a U.K. member of Parliament and government minister, who specialized in small-business policy. He also has years of experience working on and managing successful election campaigns, acting as an election agent in one of them. Through these on-the-ground experiences, which included crafting campaign literature, door-to-door campaigning, and ensuring that voters reached the polls, he developed a firsthand, tactical knowledge of how government relations campaigns should be waged.

A dual citizen of Ireland and the U.K., Mr. O’Keeffe currently lives in Brussels with his wife and son. He has a master’s degree from the University of London (Goldsmiths College) and he completed his undergraduate degree in history at the University of Leeds.
