Washington, D.C. – April 19, 2023 – DGA, an elite multidisciplinary advisory firm, today announced Alvaro Vertiz has joined as a Partner. Based in Mexico, Mr. Vertiz will help establish and lead the firm’s new offering in Mexico City, further expanding the firm’s capabilities and on-the-ground presence in the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region.

Mr. Vertiz brings extensive experience in Latin America’s markets where he most recently served as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Business Strategy and Strategic Partnerships, and a member of the Board for BlackRock Mexico. During his time at BlackRock, he oversaw day-to-day operations, managed its strategic relationships and made significant contributions to the company’s growth and ESG commitments.
Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. Vertiz was the General Counsel Latin America at Prudential Real Estate Investors Latin America, where he was responsible for all legal aspects of the company’s investments in Chile and ongoing business in Brazil. He also held senior legal positions at GE Capital Real Estate and GE Capital Solutions. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Vertiz led the UN Global Compact Sustainable Investing group where he published a paper on sustainable investing best practices. He serves as a professor of management at the Universidad Panamericana Business School and as an invited lecturer in the corporate governance module at the Universidad Panamericana School of Law.
