Jennifer (Jen) Berlin
Jennifer (Jen) Berlin is a Senior Advisor at DGA Group and is based in Washington, D.C. She specializes in national competitiveness and technology policy, focusing on strengthening U.S. economic and technological advantages through strategic engagement.
Ms. Berlin brings more than 20 years of experience in public policy and national security to DGA Group. Most recently, she served as Vice President of the Economic Security and Technology Department at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, CSIS, where she provided policy solutions to strengthen U.S. economic and technological advantages. Prior to CSIS, she served as Assistant National Cyber Security Director for stakeholder engagement in the White House, where she was a founding member of the Office of the National Cyber Director. In this role, she led outreach efforts with industry and civil society to shape the administration’s technology agenda.
Prior to her White House appointment, Ms. Berlin was Deputy Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary of Defense and held multiple roles in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy. She also served as Vice President of strategy and operations at the Brookings Institution, where she helped launch its Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technology Initiative. Her career reflects a deep commitment to advancing U.S. leadership in technology, defense, and global engagement.
Ms. Berlin holds an MA. in international public policy from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies and a B.A. from Georgetown University.
