Their appointments further strengthen DGA’s Middle East advisory offering, bringing senior diplomatic judgment and regional insight to clients navigating the policy, geopolitical, reputational, and commercial issues shaping business conditions across the region.
Ambassador Davis is a globally respected diplomat and leading expert on Middle East affairs, with more than three decades of experience advising government and business leaders on regional stability, economic cooperation, and complex political dynamics. Most recently serving as U.S. Ambassador to the State of Qatar, Ambassador Davis has also held senior leadership positions at the U.S. Department of State, including Executive Assistant to the Secretary of State, Consul General in Basra, Iraq, and Chief of Staff to the Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs. He also served as Director for Iraq on the White House National Security Council. Ambassador Davis is the recipient of a Distinguished Honor Award and multiple Superior and Meritorious Honor Awards.
Ambassador Ratney has had a distinguished career advancing high-profile diplomatic initiatives across the Middle East, most recently as U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. His senior diplomatic positions across the region have included serving as Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy to Israel, U.S. Special Envoy for Syria, and U.S. Consul General in Jerusalem. He has also held senior roles at the U.S. Department of State, the Foreign Service Institute, and the National Defense University. Ambassador Ratney is the recipient of multiple State Department performance awards, including six Senior Foreign Service Performance Awards and a Presidential Meritorious Service Award.
